How we advise
Regulated on both sides of the Atlantic
Cross-border advice only works when it is properly qualified and properly regulated in both jurisdictions. Here is how we are set up to deliver it.
Credentials
- Series 65
Qualified to advise US persons
Our advisers hold the Series 65 qualification, the US examination required to act as an investment adviser representative for US connected clients.
- SEC / BGAN
Registered through BGAN
US investment advisory services are offered through Beacon Global Advisor Network, LLC (BGAN), a registered investment adviser with the Securities and Exchange Commission. SEC number: 801-110724. CRD number: 288833.
- FCA
UK authorised and regulated
On the UK side we are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, No. 769033, so both halves of your advice sit within a regulated framework.
We use independent investment platforms rather than our own products, so recommendations are driven by what suits your circumstances rather than by an in-house range. Where a platform needs to accommodate a US connected client, we choose providers equipped to do so.
We are advisers, not tax preparers. Rather than pretend otherwise, we work openly alongside specialist US and UK tax advisers, bringing them into the conversation so that the financial plan and the tax position are built together.
How an engagement works
- 01
Understand the whole picture
We begin by mapping everything you hold on both sides of the Atlantic, together with your residency, citizenship and filing obligations.
- 02
Plan across both regimes
We design an approach that is efficient under UK and US rules at the same time, rather than optimising one and ignoring the other.
- 03
Coordinate with tax advisers
We work alongside specialist US and UK tax advisers so investment decisions and reporting obligations are aligned from the outset.
- 04
Review as circumstances change
Cross-border rules and personal circumstances both move. We revisit the plan regularly so it keeps pace with legislation and your life.
Ready to talk it through?
